We are regulated by a range of external bodies and organisations including Ofwat, the Environment Agency, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and the Drinking Water Inspectorate. We are also held to account by Natural England and CCW which acts on behalf of our customers.
As part of their key duties, these organisations ensure we provide a good service now and in the future, that bills are affordable, we spend money appropriately and efficiently, the environment is protected and your drinking water remains top quality.
Customer Challenge Group
Our Customer Challenge Group (CCG) also holds us to account for the promises we made in our business plan and ensures the community voice remains at the heart of our decision making.
The group made up of independent members includes representatives from CCW, environmental organisations, local councils, engagement specialists and charities. The group has provided challenge to us in a range of areas including vulnerability, engagement, leaks, customer interruptions and our responsible business commitments.
Customers and stakeholders
Outside the formal organisations and groups listed above we’re constantly listening to the feedback we receive from you, our customers and stakeholders.
No matter how it’s received; whether it’s through surveys, meetings, focus groups, calls or emails into the business, we’re capturing this information and acting upon it.
